Length:  150 Pages

Mark Matthews knows how to make you feel tense, disgust, and terror almost simultaneously. On the Lips of Children was a roller coaster ride of emotions for me. Having only read “Wicked Smart Carnie” I didn’t have a grasp of what this author could do. I was surprised by the emotions this book brought out, and thought the book was well written. The scenes between the mother and daughter were so well described it made me think back to my own daughter at that age. The main characters are runners, and during an early morning run they come across groups of homeless people. This turns their day upside down much to their surprise. I look forward to what will come next from Mark Matthews.
