I’m a fan of the Horror Collection Books by Kevin Kennedy. I’ve read nearly all of them and I love discovering a new writer I haven’t read before. As with all of the Horror Collections, I have my favorites, as I’m sure do. I’ve chosen to cover the stories I really dug, ones that hit that sweet spot.

The first story in The Horror Collection: Pink Edition, and one of my favorites, is That Song I Love by Kyle M Scott. The story had an off kilter feel and creepy vibe with a radio dj working the graveyard shift. This story was straight up excellent psychological horror with a twist ending to boot.

Are You the Girl with Ribbons in Her Hair by Douglas Hackle was another stand out story. From page one, wow, what the actual hell is going on. I loved this story, it was crazy and horribly wrong in every way. An extreme horror story that defies reason, until the ending. This is where the story went sideways and I went from loving it to wondering what the hell the author did, and why.

Soft White Underbelly by Tim Curran read like a hard boiled crime story meshed with supernatural horror. It reminded me of the kind of horror King would weave. With great character development and plot that had me onboard. I dug the characters getting what they reaped, and in the worst way. I really enjoyed this story, dark, horrific and full of revenge.

Book Magic by Kevin J Kennedy was a cool story, especially for those of us that love a book over most any other form of entertainment. People who can never have enough books and are always skimming social media for a new release. I really loved this story but the ending didn’t hit the mark for me. Either way it was a fun read.
