Fantastic opening, gripping and intense. Craig has set this story in motion at a fast and furious pace with a man hanging in a noose and another teasing him with the rope just long enough for him to touch the floor. The descriptions are very vivid and the story is well thought out and surprising. The dynamic between the two men is tense, interesting and at times fun. A nice mix of horror and violence with just a bit of gore, with a great ending that includes a twist of events. Treed is simply a great and fun read for the horror fan who enjoys a cleverly written horror story.
